Recreational Outdoor Accessibility for the Disabled (ROAD)

Meetings: Recreational Outdoor Accessibility for the Disabled (ROAD) mainstreams people with disabilities into all Sierra Club activities; teaches outdoor recreational skills to people with disabilities; tests accessibility of trails and recommends improvements; teaches Club members how to assist people with disabilities on outings; educates the public and the Sierra Club about the potential for enjoyment of outdoor recreation by people with disabilities; promotes wilderness and outdoor accessibility to the disabled through legislative action. ROAD is a subcommittee of the Inner City Outings Committee.

Membership: Open to all, with or without disabilities, interested in working with us toward these purposes.

Outings: Hikes held 2nd Sat or Sun monthly.
